    Long-Distance Express Bus
    (Reservation Required)
    • Age 0: Free of charge
    • Age 1-6: For legal and safety reasons, it is recommended that children in this age group have a reserved child fare seat. Please check the booking site for the exact fare. 
    • Age 7-12: Child fare (Please confirm the exact child fare on the reservation website.)
    • Age 13+: Adult Fare

    ※By law, children and infants who do not occupy a seat (e.g., sitting on a parent’s lap) are also counted as passengers. If a child does not have a reserved seat when the bus is fully booked, this will be considered over capacity and boarding may be denied. Therefore, we recommend reserving a seat for your child and infant, even if they do not intend to use it.

    ※ Alpico does not operate its own reservation websites. Similar to hotel booking sites, bus tickets are sold through third-party reservation platforms such as japanbusonline.com or highwaybus.com. If there is any discrepancy between the child fare categories shown on the reservation site and those stated on this page, the information on this page takes priority.

    Kamikochi / Norikura  Area
    (Reservation Required)
    • Age 0: Free of charge. However, if you would like your child to have their own seat, please reserve a child fare seat. Please note that by law, even infants who sit on a parent’s lap are counted as passengers. If the bus is full and no seat has been reserved for your child, this will be considered over capacity and boarding may be denied.
    • Age 1-6: A child fare seat reservation is required. Please confirm the exact child fare on the reservation website. Children too small for a seat belt may sit on a parent's lap with a baby carrier, but a seat must still be reserved.
    • Age 7-12: Child fare (Please confirm the exact child fare on the reservation website.)
    • Age 13+: Adult Fare

    • Age 0: Free of charge. However, if a child occupies a seat, a child fare ticket is required. Please note that by law, children are counted as passengers even when they do not occupy a seat (e.g., when sitting on a parent’s lap). If all seats are taken and a child does not have their own seat and ticket, this will be considered over capacity, and boarding may be denied.
    • Age 1-12: Child fare (half of adult fare)
    • Age 13+: Adult Fare
    Other Buses
    (Non-Reserved)
    • Age 0: Free of charge
    • Age 1-6: One child travels free per accompanying adult. Any additional child will be charged a child fare.
    • Age 7-12: Child Fare (half of adult fare)
    • Age 13+: Adult Fare
    Shinano Omachi / Ogizawa - Nagano line
    • Age 0: Free of charge. However, if a child occupies a seat, a child fare ticket is required. Please note that by law, children are counted as passengers even when they do not occupy a seat (e.g., when sitting on a parent’s lap). If all seats are taken and a child does not have their own seat and ticket, this will be considered over capacity, and boarding may be denied.
    • Age 1-12: Child fare (half of adult price)
    • Age 13+: Adult Fare
