If you encounter issues like your card being denied, the reservation page loading slowly, not sure what to fill in the form, error occuring while proceeding, or being unable to proceed despite availability, etc., please reach out to Keio Dentetsu, which is the company that manages the reservation website, directly at info@highwaybus.com for help.
• We often receive inquiries about card denials, but when we test it, it usually works fine. So, please try using other cards or attempt booking later the next day or contact your card issuer.
• When making a reservation online, if your country phone number has less than 9 digits, add a 0 at the beginning to meet the requirement (9-11 digits).
• If you don’t see the bus you want to book on the booking website, it means that bus is full. Please choose another available bus.
• The online reservation system and the ticket counter share the same seat availability. If online bookings show no available seats, the ticket counter will have the same status.
• To check seat availability for the reserved bus, please visit the reservation page. If the bus is fully booked, you will see indicators such as “×”, “No Seat Available”, or “Not Available”. We will not answer to the inquiries about the seat availability.
• To ensure that individuals of different genders do not sit next to each other, we have certain seating restrictions. This means that even if there are available seats, you may not be able to book due to the seating configuration enforced by the reservation system. Please note that this restriction does not apply to reservations made for the same group. The gender specified on the ticket will be strictly enforced, and passengers with a different gender on their tickets will be declined boarding. We are sorry, but we cannot help you with this issue due to the system configuration.

Ticket Reservation

• Please make a reservation by yourself. We do not accept reservation requests, regardless of the number of passengers or requests from travel agencies.

Ticket Cancellation

• Please access "My Reservation" page and proceed with the reservation cancellation.
• If you cannot log into "My Reservation" page, please contact info@highwaybus.com or use the Contact Form. Alpico does not manage the reservation system.
• Cancellation fee applies 100 yen per person.

Ticket Change

• You cannot change your reservation information (time/date/name etc.). Please cancel and make a new reservation by yourself online from this page.
• If you cannot log into "My Reservation" page, please contact info@highwaybus.com or use the Contact Form. Alpico does not manage the reservation system.
• Cancellation fee applies 100 yen per person.

• Please check the timetable carefully to confirm the operation dates. We do not respond to inquiries regarding this matter.
• If there is no Nagano-Kamikochi bus service on your travel date, please travel to Matsumoto first by train and take the Matsumoto-Kamikochi bus instead.
• Kamikochi is closed every year from November 16 to April 16. During this period, there is no bus service to Kamikochi.

• Boarding Location

Please board the bus from bus stop no. 7 near Nagano station Zenkoji exit.  The bus stop is in front of the Alpico Bus Ticket Office. (Google Map)

• How to Board the Bus

After purchasing tickets online, you can confirm and make changes to the ticket type from the "My Reservation" page. There are two types of online tickets.

1. Mobile Ticket (Recommended):
Show the ticket on your smartphone screen when boarding.

• After completing your reservation and payment, click the "Send Mobile Ticket" button.
• A link to your mobile ticket will be sent to your registered email.
• If needed, you can log into the "My Reservation" page and click "Send Mobile Ticket" again to resend the ticket.

2. Web Ticket:
Print out the ticket and show it to the bus staff or driver when boarding.

• After purchasing a ticket online, click the "Display/Print Web Ticket" button.
• This will open the ticket for you to print.
• If needed, you can log into the "My Reservation" page and click "Display/Print Web Ticket" button again to resend the ticket.

• We typically update this timetable in late March.
• If the schedule for next seasson is not yet available, please be patient for its release. We kindly ask that you refrain from inquiring about the release of the new timetable, as we cannot provide more details than what is available on the timetable page.
• The timetable is not expected to change significantly from last year, so please refer to the timetable from the previous year until the updated one becomes available.

• No restrictions on the size or number of suitcases.
• Please fold your wheelchair and store it in the bus's luggage compartment. Kindly note that non-foldable wheelchairs cannot be accepted.

• This bus does not have a restroom onboard, but there is a restroom break during the journey.

There is no bus service to Kamikochi from November 16 until April 16, and we do not provide tours to Kamikochi.

About the bus to Kamikochi

• The nearest bus stop to Kamikochi in winter is the K-26 Nakanoyu bus stop. To reach Nakanoyu bus stop, you can board the Matsumoto - Takayama bus. An advance reservation is required. Please check the fares from the timetable page.
• From Nakanoyu bus stop, you will need to walk or use snowshoes, approximately 1 hour (3 km) to Taisho Pond and about 2 hours (7 km) to Kappa Bridge. The time required may be significantly longer depending on the snow conditions and weather.
  
  

For those who plan to enter Kamikochi during this period

• Please be aware that winter mountain climbing/snowshoeing is undertaken at your own risk. Kamikochi experiences rapidly changing winter weather conditions, with potential dangers such as avalanches, falling rocks, and ground blizzards.
• When entering, you must complete a climbing registration at the entrance (Nakanoyu Gate) and submit it in the designated box. We highly recommend you join a tour with a professional guide when going to Kamikochi in winter. One of our recommended guides is Raicho Guesthouse.
