This winter (24/25), we are operating both non-reserved and reserved bus services.
Non-Reserved Buses
Most non-reserved buses operate directly between Happo Bus Terminal and Nagano Station without stopping at other bus stops.
Multiple buses depart at the same time from both Happo Bus Terminal and Nagano Station.
Same-day ticket only.
Reserved Buses
Only one bus is available for each scheduled trip, and there will be no additional buses.
If there are available seats on the day, you can pay the fare directly to the driver and board the bus. Please note, we cannot provide information about seat availability in advance.
If reserved buses are fully booked, you can use a shuttle bus within Hakuba Village to reach Happo Bus Terminal and then board a non-reserved bus.

If seats are available on the day of travel, you may purchase a ticket directly from the driver when boarding the bus.
Troubles while making a reservation online
Alpico does not handle the operation of the reservation website. If you encounter issues like your card being denied, the reservation page loading slowly, not sure what to fill in the form, error occuring while proceeding, or being unable to proceed despite availability, etc., please reach out to Keio Dentetsu, which is the company that manages the reservation website, directly at info@highwaybus.com for help.
We often receive inquiries about card denials, but when we test it, it usually works fine. So, please try using other cards or attempt booking later the next day or contact your card issuer.
When making a reservation online, if your country phone number has less than 9 digits, add a 0 at the beginning to meet the requirement (9-11 digits).
If you don’t see the bus you want to book on the booking website,it means that bus is full. Please choose another available bus.
The online reservation system and the ticket counter share the same seat availability.If online bookings show no available seats, the ticket counter will have the same status.

Luggage
This bus has a luggage compartment where you can stow your suitcases. There are no restrictions on the number or size of items.
Please make sure to use dedicated covers or bags for your skis, snowboard, and snowshoes. We do not take any responsibility for any damage to your belongings.

Train & Bus Transfer
The distance between the train station's ticket gate and the bus stop is within a 10-minute walking distance. However, depending on train delays or if you have a lot of luggage, there is a possibility that you may not make it in time. (You can purchase Nagano Hakuba Line bus tickets with cash or by contactless credit card/debit card onboard the bus.)

This bus does not have a restroom onboard, and there are no restroom breaks during the journey.
This bus is not equipped with a wheelchair lift or designated wheelchair space, so it cannot accommodate passengers who wish to remain in their wheelchair during the journey. Please fold your wheelchair and store it in the bus's luggage compartment. Kindly note that unfolded wheelchairs cannot be accepted.
Our buses are equipped with two-point setbelts, which are not suitable for securing child seats. If the child is tall enough to use a seatbelt, he or she must wear it. If the child is too small to use a seatbelt, please hold the child securely using an appropriate device. If you require your child to be seated in a child seat, we recommend using a taxi instead.

Question: I have booked a ticket for the bus departing at XX:XX. Can I take an earlier or later bus if there are available seats? Answer: No, even if there are available seats, you must take the bus you reserved. If you need to change your departure time or travel date, please cancel your current reservation and book a new one online. Question: I booked a reserved bus but am not sure if I can board it on time. Can I use my ticket for a non-reserved bus instead? Answer: No, you cannot. Please cancel your ticket online and make a new one.

Children’s fares
Age 0:Free of charge. However, if you would like your child to have their own seat, please reserve a child fare seat. Please note that by law, even infants who sit on a parent’s lap are counted as passengers. If the bus is full and no seat has been reserved for your child, this will be considered over capacity and boarding may be denied.
Age 1-6:A child fare seatreservation is required. Please confirm the exact child fare on the reservation website. Children too small for a seat belt may sit on a parent's lap with a baby carrier, but a seat must still be reserved.
