WHAT IS THE ALPS CROSSING TICKET?
The Alps Crossing Ticket is a ticket that allows you to stop at a few places while traveling from the castle town of Matsumoto to the charming old town of Takayama. You can choose one of the following 3 routes: Kamikochi, Norikura or Shinhotaka Ropeway. It will certainly be a wonderful trip no matter which route you choose! You can travel from Matsumoto to Takayama as well as the other way around.

How to Use
This ticket is used for a connected bus ride, so please hand the desired sectioned ticket to the driver when exiting the bus.
The Alps Crossing Ticket (Kamikochi route) includes the following sectioned tickets:
Ⓐ Between Takayama and Hirayu Onsen
Ⓑ Between Hirayu Onsen and Kamikochi
ⓒ Between Kamikochi and Shin-Shimashima
Ⓓ Between Shin-Shimashima and Matsumoto
Important Information
- Use of each ticket is limited to a one-time, one-way transportation for the designated section written on that ticket.
- If you get off at a stop other than the designated stop, the ticket will be invalid for use on the remaining section.
- When disembarking halfway from a bus stop besides the designated bus stops, the ticket will become invalid.
- For those with the Kamikochi-type ticket, it is possible to board again within the Kamikochi Park Line heading to the Kamikochi area (similarly to the Kamikochi Line round-trip ticket).
- Using the ticket when starting from Takayama to Matsumoto or the other way around is also possible.
- No refunds will be made once the ticket has been used.
